I tried
I tried. I tried...with everything I had I gave you all of me the laughter, the secrets, the fear I was too afraid to name. Every piece I was afraid to show the world. I poured my love into you. With all the love my heart could carry. I tried to hold you, tight enough to keep you from slipping away. Because, I was terrified. Terrified of loosing you like I lost everyone. I ever let loose enough to matter. I trusted you. I trusted you with everything, the kind of trust that feel like falling like drowning, and praying they won't trace them too hard. But you you just slept, You slept peacefully, while I cried alone, in the dark, in the silence. You slept while I begged, for you to just notice. for you to just care. You let me suffer alone, you turned your back when i needed you the most. You saw my weakness and you walked away. You sai you were sorry (so many times- but never loud enough never real enough to undo the damages.) You didn't protect me You didn't even try And now - now we are just two strangers carrying every shattered secret, every broken promises, every piece of a love, you never knew how to hold.
