I Told You
I told you how I felt one day, My hands were shaking, words unsure. You looked at me and gently said You didn’t feel the way I do, for sure. It hurt, I won’t pretend it didn’t. I stayed up late, just feeling small. But days went by, and I stood up, I wiped my tears and faced it all. Now when I see you, I still nod, But not the way I did before. I learned to let go, not hold on— I don’t need that kind of war. You were a page, not my whole book. I’m moving on. I know I should. Not every crush becomes a love— But letting go still feels good.
