I Told The Stars About You
I told the stars about you tonight. They didn’t shine any brighter, they just listened... quietly, like they already knew how people leave even when they promise they won’t. The sky looked full, but I felt empty. Funny, isn’t it? How the whole universe can glow and still fail to warm the one place in your chest that someone else turned cold. If heartbreak had a sound, it would be the silence between two stars— close, almost touching, but forever a little too far. So I whispered your name into the darkness, hoping it would reach you. It didn’t. But it came back to me as stardust on my eyelashes a reminder that even broken things can still shine.
