I THOUGHT SHE WAS THE ONE
In the enchanting glow of a Sunday eve, As darkness embraced the fading light, At 17:45, a decision I did conceive, A longing for the bar, an absent delight. In different attire, I made my track. At 18:00, outside I stood in red and black, Within the bar, my eyes did meet, A girl with extra beauty, a sight so sweet. I thought she was the one, my heart did sway, In a lonely corner, I spent hours, drinking my dismay. Minutes past 19:00, I approached with fear, And the first word I uttered was "Hi dear." From a simple "hi," a conversation grew, Laughter and drinks, a bond that I knew. After three hours, empty bottles in view, I thought she was the one, that much was true. In love with her, I fell so deep, Above all else, she was mine to keep. I would have done anything, even walk through hell's keep, I thought she was the one, my heart did leap.
