I speak for my ancestors.
I speak for my ancestors sold into slavery, head hunted and hung on tress just for resisting. I speak for those whose tongues were cut off for speaking their mind. I speak for my ancestors who preferred to drown in the ocean instead of been slaves in a foreign land. I speak for those girls raped in the Field by the slave masters. I speak for those men called less of a man cos they're Black. I speak for children who were born into slavery and owned like properties. I speak for those Black men who's lovers were taken from them by the slave masters and used as sex slaves. I speak for black men and women who gave their life for freedom. I speak for those who fought for the freedom we enjoy today. I speak for kids born into poverty with little or no education. I speak for those depressed and suicidal.
