I smile at the sunrise, bright and bold, I smile as the day begins to unfold. I smile with the breeze as it dances by, I smile with the hope that the joy will not die. I smile in the laughter that fills up the air, I smile with the warmth that I long to share. I smile with each step, though the path’s unclear, I smile with the thought that there’s nothing to fear. I smile when the doubts start to creep in my mind, I smile though the answers are hard to find. I smile when the silence is louder than sound, I smile when the weight pulls me down to the ground. I smile when I don’t know just how to feel, I smile to forget what is broken and real. I smile through the pain that no one can see, I smile because that’s what they need from me.
