I Shouldn't Have Liked You

Truthfully speaking, I shouldn't have liked you. Not because your a bad person or rude, But that I wasted my time & hurt myself too, All because I believed 'I' would be 'us' soon. Now I've poetically penned, to no man's end I get it, it's better if I'd just stayed a friend  But woe to my heart which has no owner A devil in disguise, who whispered in my ear "Do not, do not, do not ever ever fear," "I love her", "don't we? My dearest dear…"
