I See You lifeless
I see you laying there lifeless I can tell your somewhere else I would like to think, you were somehow already touching the clouds. I watched you sleep with shallow breathing sounds all night. When you were able to open your eyes, they were so glossy, and grey. The man I loved, already was gone. The moment your spirit left this world. I see you trying to figure out what was going on with you. You were you were heavily medicated. you couldn't tell the difference, if you were simply dreaming. You didn't know you were actually gaining your wings and dieing. Your family surrounded you, we could feel you drift away from us. The moment we moved you from hospice care to the nursing home. You gave up on life all together. You knew it was time for you to say goodbye, but didn't know how. We were left to the sound of a gasp. and no more heart beats to be heard. only tears would fill the room & a shell of a body laying on a bed. We would sit there for hours saying goodbye. until they came, zipped you up in a body bag and hauled you away. upon a request, they squealed out of the parking lot. One last tribute to you. always having passion for cars. I see you.
