I Said Goodbye
I said goodbye to you on Sunday. It wasn't really final, at least it didn't feel that way. There is still a deep pain in my soul. I cried at your funeral. You always told me not to. You said that you would be off on a new adventure, and that life never truly ends. Your memorial service played "Wish You Were Here". You were a brilliant soul, and your soul shines bright throughout the universe. Thank you for gracing me with a beautiful, talented son. You were a lesson in a time that I desperately needed. In the end, your heart was too big for this world. You died painlessly, in your sleep. Now, you are playing music around the universe. And I'm still crying.
