I remind myself
Sometimes, I give my energy to others, hoping to connect, only to realize they’ve taken all my positivity and left me with their negativity. I’ve been through this cycle so many times—opening up, trying to see the good in people, and then feeling completely drained afterward. But now, I know exactly what I want in my life. My energy is sacred, and not everyone deserves it. I’m creating boundaries and building a better, more positive space around me—one that uplifts me rather than drains me. Being alone doesn’t mean I’m lonely; it means I’m prioritizing myself and protecting my peace. I’m choosing to focus on what’s good for me, on people and experiences that help me grow. I remind myself: my light isn’t for everyone. I need to guard it, nurture it, and let it shine for those who truly value and reciprocate it. I’ll surround myself with the right energy and never feel guilty for choosing what’s best for me.
