I Refuse to Become Bitter
I Refuse to Become Bitter Life has given me many reasons to become bitter. People I loved walked away. Promises faded. Some lessons arrived dressed as heartbreak. For a while, I wondered if the world was teaching me to harden my heart. But every time I stood beneath the stars, every time I sat in a quiet church, every time I watched the mountains disappear into the fog, I felt the same whisper: "Do not lose your kindness." The world has enough people who have stopped believing. Enough people who have forgotten how to forgive. Enough people who only see what is wrong. I do not want to be one of them. I want to remain the person who still finds beauty in old songs, hope in difficult seasons, and light in people who cannot yet see it in themselves. Perhaps that is not weakness. Perhaps choosing love after disappointment is the greatest strength of all. So I refuse to become bitter. I have lost many things on this journey, but I will not lose my heart.
