I promise
You took me in when no one else would. You carried my tears which no one else could. You started helping me walk through life. Your words sliced through my fears, sharp as a knife. I promise, no matter how miserable I am, I'll still run to you. Even tho the door in my face you might slam. About how much I care for you, you have no clue. I promise I'll be you through sun and rain. I'll stand by your side through every pain. I'll be your shoulder through thick and thin. The act of Leaving you, I now consider a sin. I promise I shall hold no secrets. Not meeting you sooner is, believe me, my biggest regret. I thank the gods and the stars all night. When I was surrounded by darkness, you came in like a light. So please, don't ever leave me. Through every danger, I shall protect you gladly. Now, so many promises I made. I hope our bond will never fade.
