i miss you
you said nothing, and still meant everything. i filled every silence with hope, until you left me standing in it. your silence was louder than any word. and your presence on snap felt further than ever before. flames you lit only to leave at the first breeze. over and over. and I stay. i send you signals, you ignore them. but still, you send more. a game only you can win. and i— i pick up everything you let fall, even if it’s just crumbs. i defend you when everyone says you’re not worth it. and quietly wonder if they’re right. i write poems you’ll never read. and when i cry, i pretend it’s the wind. but maybe i'll stop someday. not out of spite, not out of pride, but because i simply can’t anymore. and then you’ll show up, but i’ll already be gone— not out of hate, just from exhaustion.
