I Miss You.
I miss you. Not just here or there, Not just every once in a while. It's an ever present ache in my chest, One that may lesson or decrease in intensity, But never leaves. I miss you. Not just when I see couples on the street, Or read my favorite romance novels. It's when I see your favorite food, Or when it's your favorite holiday. When it's field day and I remember how much you loved soccer, Or when I see blueberries and remember how much you hated them, Or how my jokes always made you laugh. It's when I'm reminded of you that hurts the most. When it's not an activity I wanted to do alone, It's one I wanted to do with you. I miss you. And I hope you're OK. I hope you're smiling and happy and your days are filled with cheer. I miss you. And I hope you miss me too.
