I Miss Those Times
I miss the times when happiness was real, When smiles weren’t forced, And sadness and anger were just ways To seek attention—attention I never got. When bags felt heavy, not my heart, When I made foolish wishes, Dreaming of a family that felt whole. When I could still watch my parents laugh with my siblings, Hiding in the corner, tears in my eyes, Watching others be happy, Even if I never was.
