I miss Me
I walk in a skin that doesn't echo my name, Every organ, a guest in my own being, My heart and soul, speaking different languages, Each one craving understanding, I walk in a skin, that feels new, Hardened by the injustices of life, Stained by strangers that were once close, Each part afraid of the other. I walk in a skin that whispers cry, Cleaned by the constant warm tears, Controlled by a brain that has never known peace, Led by a heart that is shattered in pieces I walk in a skin that was never mine, The once pure blood, now flows with guilt, The once strong bones, now held by grace, The once cheerful soul, now echoes silence. I walk in a skin.....that is not mine, I crave the skin untouched by sorrow, I crave the skin that danced in laughter, I crave the skin I called mine, I miss my skin😔
