I love you more than Jazz
I read a quote today, It said, "I love you more than jazz." And that's true but ill expand, I love you more than jazz, The sweet symphonies of strings and brass, have nothing on the sweet aroma of you're hard past and bright future of which is so vast, I love the way you bring a light to every room, that sounds better than any solo ever made in a bossa nova groove, I love how you giggle at the feeling of my lips on the back of you're sweet soft hands, It makes me smile bigger than any moody swing tune ever lands, You have my heart, And it beats through my chest every time I look into those eyes, it beats harder than any kick drum beat ever amplifies, So I love you more than Jazz, Because a jazz song always concludes with maybe an encore or two Whereas my love for you, although brand-new, Seems so long overdue, And in this life, even though not yet twenty-two, Our love looks strong, like a beautiful grand stand view.
