I love how she doesn’t love me
She laughs like I’m not even near Eyes dancing past me,bright and clear I speak, she nods, her mind elsewhere A ghost to her, just passing air I try to shine,to stand,to glow To be the flame she’d want to know But she’s the moon, aloof, serene And I’m the night she’s never seen Her words are kind, but never deep Like skipping stones on stillness sleep No questions asked,no stories shared No sign she’s ever truly cared I write her lines she’ll never read I plant soft hopes that never seed She walks a path that I can't bend A story where I'm not the end Yet still I stay,a fool,a flame Burning slow without a name For even when she doesn’t see I love the way she doesn’t love me
