I know I can never...
For the longest of times, we've made a wonderful home; grown so close together; but now we're alone. I can remember all the great times we had. And, yes, there were moments when things looked pretty bad. But all I remember about the times that were tough, is that I thought I could never love you enough. You've stuck with me through both ease and strife. You have made this, for me, a most wonderful life. It was easy for me, yet, it does make me feel sad, to think I had the good times, Maybe you had the bad. But all I remember about the times that were rough, is that I thought I could never love you enough. During most of our time we chased my career from town to town; quite far from here. You managed the moves, almost all on your own; with no family nearby, you were sad and alone. But all I remember about the times that were tough, is that I thought I could never love you enough. Now we are living our life-long dream; (being together with great love and esteem). And, I expect trouble; more times that are tough. Yet, one thing is for certain, when times become rough; I know I can never love you enough.
