I know
I know I'm too much of a wimp to say to you "I really like you." Except I have. But each time you just think I'm being friendly. And for a while, I did too. But then, I don't know when, but someday something changed. And now each time I see your face, Or wear that sweater I stole from you, I feel my stomach turn to a butterfly And infect my heart and makes it flutter. Not sputter like when I tried to say the words my heart screams at me. And I always hide it. I'm just waiting for you to dig up my heart of gold. And I've given you plenty of little hints to find it, But this may be my last. And I don't mean this is the end of my life, I mean if you're seeing this it means I need to say, "I love you Annie" And I know you will probably shoot me down, I won't mind. I just can't have you not know a second more.
