I Just Thought.

I thought my mind was sharp and keen, Confident in all I'd seen, But as I looked into your eyes, I saw my naivety arise. I thought I had it all figured out, In my own world, beyond a doubt, But in your presence, I could see, That I was blind to reality. The wisdom I thought I possessed, Was just a facade, put to the test, And in your gaze, I found the truth, I was naive, since my youth. So now I humbly stand before you, With my pretenses stripped away, Knowing that I still have much to learn, And grateful for the lessons you convey. For though I thought I was so smart, It was your insight that touched my heart, Reminding me to stay humble and true, For wisdom comes from learning anew.
