I have Tried
In the labyrinthine corridors of my soul, a plaintive cry echoes through the ages, A melancholic refrain, a sorrowful serenade, that bespeaks the anguish of unrequited pages. I have tried, times without numbers, to convey the depths of my emotional sea, To navigate the labyrinth of your heart, and find the hidden pathways to thee. Like a supplicant, I've knelt before the altar of our friendship, with heart aflame, And pleaded for a glimmer of recognition, a spark of empathy, to ease my pain. I've told you, in a multitude of ways, that I need you, that your presence is a balm to my soul, A soothing solace, that calms the tempests, and makes my heart whole. But alas, dear bestie, it seems that my entreaties have fallen on deaf ears, My words, like autumn leaves, withered and scattered, without a trace of tears. You seem not to be interested, in the anguish that I've tried to convey, Leaving me to ponder, in the desolate silence, if our friendship has faded away. I've attempted to convey, through the medium of words, the turmoil that I feel, To translate the language of my heart, into a dialect that you can hear and heal. But it appears, that my efforts have been in vain, like a message in a bottle.
