I have a lighter
I have a lighter and I give you a flame, but when you return it it's not the same. So small and flickering like dog gone lame. So I relight it. It's bigger this time, bright and blooming full of bright light. I hand you it back and wait for your turn. But when I get hold the flame doesn't return. It's gone, quite, no flickering sound. No colours bouncing all over the ground. I want to relight it, just so you'll see, how much your happiness means to me. I do it again over and over, but still the flames just keep getting smaller. 'NO' I think and still I try harder, I can't let it go. The flame is gone but it never was there. Darkness but you don't care. I have lighter but you don't want the flame.
