I Crave...
I crave that high mountain air, give me the soft Rhythm of the river overflowing. This concrete is hard on the soles of my feet, Too many people moving not knowing Where they're going. Give me the open fields of wild flowers And the skies of blue with soft rain showers. The blowing of car horns, the shouts of anger, Strangle the wild song in my heart, Tearing apart my free spirit. Give me the sound of the wind blowing Through the trees, The smell of honeysuckle on the breeze, And you'll give me heaven on earth, Where my heart and mind will give birth To peace and serenity.
