I Am the Woman Who Survived

I release the need for explanations from people who benefited from my confusion. I trust what I saw, what I felt, and what I learned. I left a marriage that was hurting me. I survived betrayal, deception, disappointment, manipulation, gaslighting, broken trust, and abuse. I endured what was meant to break me, yet I am still standing. I am rebuilding my life financially, emotionally, mentally, physically, and spiritually. I am recommitting to my health, my healing, my peace, and my purpose. I am reconnecting with my spirit, my power, and the divine wisdom within me. The woman who was happy, joyful, and minding her own business before all of this is still here. She may be wounded, wiser, stronger, more resilient, and more discerning now, but she is not gone. She is reclaiming herself. I am not the woman who is still trapped in that marriage. I am the woman who survived it. I survived what happened to me. I learned from it. I grew through it. And now I reclaim the rest of my life. My power is not in what he admits, explains, denies, or apologizes for. My power is in what I choose next. My power is in choosing myself. My power is in my healing, my growth, my peace, my freedom,
