I am the Dreamer
I am a Dreamer. My hopes are huge, My dreams are dauntless, I dream in color, in a time where life is black and white. Vivid imagery- Make believe or hallucinations driven insane with my own fascinations I jump in feet first Unafraid of the current or the depths of the waters beneath I am daring and bold I live life with few regrets Things one can not forget And- I love mercilessly. Whole heatedly unashamed Penance comes in the form of heartache and loss Dimming my world momentarily But still I rise like a phoenix from the ashes And as my heart and mind go to war As their beliefs are clashing Hope springs forth and fills the gap and hedge and it doesn't seem like such a fall, as I free fall from the ledge. And as I spiral downward, My senses reconcile Am I being reckless in my humble domicile? Pretentious or neglectful Somewhat disrespectful-- to myself, my health, the very being of my soul? Sanity and peace of mind have been rummaged through and stole. And still, I wake to another day Starting fresh Better than the days before? Another riddle to solve, another complex question of my own self purpose that I must go explore. A land of no boundaries, Whose calls I can't ignore... I am the DREAMER.
