I am sorry
-You say "I love you" Can you leave and this still be true? +Your mind sees only what's vain. Well, let's bring the view to a deeper plane. + Where was I when you decided to lie? While I was in grief and wanted to die, Where was I? +I was beside you battered but gentle. The damage you gave me was mental. My pleas for change, you always wrote off. If you love me, you won't run off. On my knees, begging for help you'd scoff. When I cry rivers you seem quite amused. So how do I prove to be abused? My heart ripped out, crushed before my eyes If I didn't get over it, I would be chastised While you see only what I did not do Can you now see what I did in truth? I endured the games that you play, and through it all I would pray With all this pain, and all this gloom- Was I not there for you? +I am not with you in body, that's true. but I am with you in spirit although you have no clue So do not be sad, please don't be blue- When I say I love you, I promise, I really do.
