I am a lotus flower
I am a lotus flower, That hasn’t bloomed yet. But she is the beloved of a story, Whom everyone admires. Yes, I am that flower That looks the most beautiful when it blossoms, But she is a fairy, From whom everyone makes their wish. Among those people, I am one too, Who makes a wish That one day will come, A day when even without blooming, Someone will come to see the beauty inside me. But what can I do… People now only look at the body. How would they know, That true beauty is understood When one turns forty, When the glow of the face fades away, And only emotional understanding and loyalty remain. What can I do… Do such boys and girls even exist, Who truly understand these things? I am just a lotus flower, That wishes to bloom, And be seen by the world. To be seen, to be understood, To live for itself, and for others too. And one day… To be taken in the hands of that fairy, To be gently touched By the beloved of that story. Yes, I am a lotus flower.
