hypomania, the toxic lover
hypomania comes with vivid colors paints so bold they hurt your eyes the night has a light so bright it's blinding and the trees would burn your gaze for looking upon them and god knows i see the signs in myself passed down from my mother and i try my hardest to monitor but what is a dog without a leash? so i am painting and writing and singing and the nights seem full of opportunity wasted by sleep and the hours i spend in bed could be better spent instead there are twenty-two conversations rattling around in my head i am the life of the party of whom everyone loves and i am beating my fists on my chest screaming about how it feels to be free, be alive the top of the mountain's air is so thin that i can hardly exist within it i am alive, i am alive and when hypomania leaves me like the toxic lover that it is i will be left tumbling down the mountainside until i reach the very bottom once more
