Hypocrisy
And on that night or even day, When you decide it's finally time, To rest your soul, to rest your mind, The moment they get the news, And call all your friends and family, They're all suddenly surprised, Like there were never signs, Like I didn't let out some cries, Subtly I showed my signs, Through metaphors, through songs, I showed my hurt but everyone. Everyone closed their eyes And in my funeral, whispers, would be heard, "how come?" "Why didn't we know?" "How could we know?" "She never spoke up" oh please I spoke, In words only people with eyes would see, people with ears would hear But who wants to deal with a person who's hanging by a thread? Who wants to lift a finger? right? © Melody
