Hunter with a Heart
His arrow's cocked and ready Though his target's still unclear His sharp eyes meet the thrushes Where runs a dusky deer He steadily his aim and sees far and wide To check if anyone's near But there passes through the deer's eye A single knowing tear He pauses for a minute Hesitant upon his goal But the deer's glaring gaze Seems to swallow him up whole He is puzzled and confused But lowers down his bow Not wanting to shoot the arrow He retreats back very slow The deer shoots him a grateful glance But doesn't hesitate to ask "Why did you leave your chance, When you had found your prey at last?" The wistful hunter replies to that Saying, "Its just you and me, Except that you have 4 legs And I only have two." The deer heartily agrees But asks another question "Why is it that you kill, If to us you have no objection?" The hunter says it's for his food But he has learnt his ways He would never kill again For the rest of his long days The deer asks him why he decided to give up the hunting art The hunter laughs and says, "Cuz I'm a hunter with a Heart........" The End ❤️
