hungry
they say I shouldn't shop when I'm hungry, that I won't get what I need, just what I think I want. But what if I'm starving, what if I'm not thriving... can I still not shop? What if I've never got to eat anything, what if I was locked up in my room for sixteen years, with nothing to eat. what if my stomach is so empty I can feel the emptiness in my bones, deep into the marrow, does that mean I'll buy something to eat that feels like an arrow to my heart? They say I shouldn't shop when I'm hungry, That I'll get something unhealthy, and not nutritious. But what if I'm crying myself to sleep because I'm starved, What if I feel carved because I've never gotten to say I want food.... can I still not shop. What if the only thing keeping me alive is my water intake, what if I'm no longer striving on the food my parents slid under my door. what if I finally got the okay to shop? would I still feel the emptiness of my stomach I'm my bones, down deep into the marrow, will I end up finding something other than an arrow? if I'm actually hungry, why am I starving? is it true I can't shop while hungry, or is it really just that people are scared... that they're not really shopping for food?
