human zoo
Forced to love you by a society that doesn't understand, that doesn't see or hear. It only judges. Doubting is easy, listening and believing someone isn't as enjoyable anymore. It's easier to watch someone die having to endure constant invalidation from someone who's supposed to love you. It shouldn't be so simple to turn a blind eye and avoid what's happening before our eyes. Guilt doesn't come until it's too late. When a person takes their own life, that's when we worry and get scared. Until then, the best thing to do is watch like in a zoo, watching the person wear themselves down to the limit. Why offer help? It's better to attend the funeral than to raise your voice. How easy it is to watch their life end and pretend you don't see anything.
