How I've Had To Live!

Have you laid there at night hearing rats in the wall? Afraid they would crawl out and eat something sticking out? Have you wanted to get high but did not have a dime? So you went with a friend to the dope man again. All you did was tag along? Hoping he would throw you a crumb. Now you carry on? Have you ever been so hungry that your mouth thought your stomach went on strike? There was nothing in the cabinet to eat not even a cracker or some kinda fake canned meat. There was not even a refrigerator to keep things cold. So in the winter time you left your drinks outside in the snow. They stayed plenty cold using no power or heat. Have you ever squatted in a house that was abandoned all cleaned out? So you pitched a tent within its rooms? What about a heater that ran on propane? And have you ever had to heat up a bucket of water on a burner outta gas? And when the propane burned out, you built a fire instead. Have you ever had one big pot, kept on the fire nice and hot. And when it boiled, you poured it in a bucket? Then you could take a hot bath. Boy it was worth it. You'd find a stool to sit down, rub soap all around. Don't read such or have a frown. It could be worse. So smile all you can.....
