How It Goes
I'm not lonely, Yet feel so alone. I have friends, But none truly care. That's just how it goes. I'm always the second option — You know, the floater friend. I've come to accept it; It's always been this way. That's just how it goes. I don't fit anywhere. I'm too weird for the "cool kids," But too cool for the "weird kids." Too dumb for the smart kids, Too smart for the dumb kids. That's just how it goes. Maybe one day I'll belong, But for now, I'll stay alone. I've grown to like it. That's just how it goes. I've learnt not to rely on anyone — That way, no one can hurt you. Don't let people in, Because they can just as easily leave, Once you get attached. That's just how it goes.
