How Foolish
It was 3 AM You were fast asleep and I was typing out a long letter overfilling with all the reasons I loved you, why I thought you were the one. I wrote of how I loved many things, watches that don't tick, the hollow sound of music with no words, the simplicity of Sunday nights where all I heard was the beating of your heart. And you. Always you. A week later you told me you couldn't love me. You told me it was too much, the wrong time, but really I just think you didn't want me. How foolish I was, so send you 137 words about how much I loved, only to be met with 5. "I cant love you like that." How foolish was I, to spend weeks convincing myself you loved me, only for you to leave and take all the love I had for myself. But oh, how foolish were you, for believing that you could just give nothing and expect everything? But oh, how foolish were you for thinking I wasnt worth staying for? I am raw and real and my soul is kind of in pieces but I am me, and I will not let you take that.
