How Do You See Yourself?
"How do you see yourself?" A voice in my mind asked. I become silent, searching for an answer. I realized I've been doubting myself; Pushing it down intentionally and unintentionally. How do I see myself? A weak broken girl? An outcast? A pretentious human being? A people pleaser? Just now, I pushed myself down unaware I was doing so; It wasn't my intention and I thought I was just being honest. But it seems that my honesty for myself is cruelty. Do you do the same? Pushing yourself down afraid of being good; Scared that if you think that your good enough you'll be disappointed as a result? Thus you keep yourself there in the middle; being a mediocre, following what is 'normal', terrified to stand out. Yet you feel a spark inside, That what you're doing isn't right. And little by little you went outside, Outside of the thoughts, outside of the norms... You let yourself run wild. So I'll repeat the question for you and for me, “How do we see ourselves?”
