How could you?
How could you? He yelled. He threatened. He manipulated. He hurt. He scared. He bullied. He used. He stole. He bruised. He threw. He did so much. How could you stay? How could you let him near your children? How could you excuse him? How could you stay quiet? How could you watch? How could you defend him? How can you still choose him over your children? How can you be happy? How can you lose me for him? ... how could you let him hurt me? ... for 18 years? ... and choose him over and over again? ... continuing to do so? ... losing me to keep him? How could you? I needed you. I protected you. I defended you. I fought for you. I loved you. I died for you. I died because of you. How could you? I was a child. You were my mom. He was my dad. Now you are my mother. Now he is my father. And all I can say, is how could you? How could you? How fucking could you?
