Hope: Glimmers of tomorrow
The Child She built a castle of sand Though the waves might sweep, She presses each tower carefully Hoping the sea will let it keep. She chases butterflies in fields Though they flit beyond her hands, She stretches out with open joy Believing someday it will land. When night turns rooms to shadows She trembles in the dark, A tiny hand clutches hope Trusting light will leave its mark. She skips along the winding path Greeting the sun’s first ray Her heart blooms with quiet trust Knowing hope will find its way. Though she cannot see the future Though the world is vast and new Her little heart moves forward For hope will guide all she will do.
