Hooks and Baits
Days in and out Nights long and short Says the fisherman We stood, staring at the deep blue sea Upon which our hope depends Both the highs and the lows We pray the odds favours us Either way it goes Nights dark and deep We sail across the oceans As the wind howls In tempest growl Hear! Ye East and West winds Incline thine ears Thou North and South winds These waters fed our fathers once And ov'r again it feeds us thence Broken shades Fading images How we woble In time's web.
