Hometown Heartache
It’s strange to feel so connected to a place and yet so desperate to get away from it at the same time. I look around and I think, I could never leave this behind. The streets I walked as a kid, the corner where I first kissed a girl, they all feel like scenes from a dream. But then there are days when the walls feel like they're closing in. When the same old faces, the same old places, start to suffocate me. So I begin to dream of distant places where nobody knows my name or my story. I want to escape, to go somewhere far away where I can start over, where the weight of all these memories doesn't follow me.
