Homely Days of Surprises
After long days I’m finally home, Where everything feels fresh and new. Rooms look different and things have moved, Our kitten is now grown and bold. And there stands Amma waiting for me, With all her love, her warmth, her cheer. Stairs call softly to climb, my rest warning me, Treatment rules still hold me here. With fever and the girls days too, I slip into bed for a peaceful sleep. At the moment, two guests arrive, Their smiles brighten lost memories. Ammu like a sista, caring and bold, Scolding yet sweet like days of old. Another friend, a senior I respected, Whose name I knew but never connected. Now our friendship is growing, calm and good, Guides me when my toughest times hit. We all laugh and my worries fade, My family smiles and joy is made. We share a meal and stories flow, In these moments, warmth and love grow. I’m thankful now for those held dear, For friends and family always near. I never expected this moment would come, But life shows us it happened. We might not know what’s waiting, Let's live true to ourselves, without regrets.
