Homecoming Heartbreak
Today love is in the air, I just have to pretend I don't care. All my friends have gone away and the sky has turned a dull grey. I want to go with you, but I don't know what would happen if I do... The leaves have turned the color of my guitar's copper strings, and it looks incredible when they land on things. The Orange ones that ride through the air, they all remind me of your hair. The red ones on the ground, they remind me of my heart's empty pound. They're all making memories to keep, all the while I cry myself to sleep. They're out having a fancy dinner, and my patience grows thinner. Every picture I see has smiling faces, and it takes my mind to darker places. It's Homecoming Night and I'm on my own... Music's playing, but I dance all alone... ๐
