Home
Home! Yes home that's what I call it The place I yearn to be It's sweet fragrance calls me Mummy's smiles, Daddy's stern face, The banters of the little ones It's almost a miracle to see The banters I despised Now sounds like music to my ears Voices I miss, Faces I yearn to see The feeling alone puts me to tears The gatherings I despised Is what I currently yearn for My heart yearns for the feeling of belonging The only kind I feel at home Surprisingly my best companions, books can't comfort me The sudden feeling of loneliness is engraved within me Memories; just memories That's all I have left Staring into the vast sky each night Singing to the moon As I miss the feeling of a parent tucking me in Indeed there's no place like home But is there a place... Where you are accepted for who you are? Is there a place... Where you feel loved? You belong, have the ability to influence with just presence? I guess not But even if there is, I have not been there Perhaps I look for something beyond my reach A feeling of belonging, A feeling only home gives Home! Yes home, where I belong. What I year for!
