Holy Night
Sitting in the trenches Reading books for ages Trying to pass time Maybe home I'll find Do I leave this place? Will the snow be my grave? It's Christmas, and we are still here "We are back by the time leaves fall" Yes, at least those who don't fall Guns are silent What's happening? More and more soldiers Go to the opening Enemies approach We watch it close Yet, to shooting No one choose The man next to me I don't know him, inspiring Stands up, leaves his gun Walks out, like a sun More of us follow Yet, no one looks hollow Never seen such thrive So sane, so alive I follow them, to the No mman's Land The place that means death Now is peaceful, now is saint Hopeful, like never seen Christmas Trouce That's what it's called Ages later, we recall In the snow, with warm heart Will remember the holy night We play, talk, share stories Only friends, no enemies Tomorrow? No one asks We are happy for the present
