Hollow
Originally posted October 2019. I feel hollow, there is a void where light once sought to bloom. I feel hollow, there is echoed silence where once a heartbeat tuned. I feel hollow, I feel hollow for the thought of you. Summer rain in the morning, broke through the misty sky. Tired eyes, but hopeful. Thought we would be just fine. I took a picture for the first time, and I don't know why. I guess deep down I must have known that something wasn't right. Ignorance is bliss. Reached out for a moment, now we've said goodbye. I feel hollow, there is a void where light once sought to bloom. I feel hollow, there is echoed silence where once a heartbeat tuned. I feel hollow, I feel hollow for the thought of you. The missing piece of you in me, I've spent hours trying to find. Searched every shallow, every depth, but only came up dry. I took a picture for the first time, and I don't know why. I guess deep down I must have known that something wasn't right. Ignorance is bliss. Reached out for a moment, now we've said goodbye.
