heroin
Dear Heroin, you came to me I did not come to you a choice I did not make but yet I had to go through you came dressed up like a friend and told me you were there to stop all the pain and that hurt I went through but you are not a friend you are a devil with intentions more horrific and cruel you told me you loved me until I needed you and than the sickness took hold you tried to make me a monster with no vauls or goals the only thing you told me I needed was brown and more precious then gold but heroin you did not fool me and here I stand I am not your victim I'm no longer in your hand you are a memory I will never forget you are a faint feeling of hopelessness I no longer forget because I am the Victor I beat you I over came you I am not what they think they made me I have recovered but yet I still know you are like a shadow in the glow in the dark I will never be fully rid of you I must be aware of that because you can come back if I let you back into my head but for now heroin this is the end you have taken many a family member and friends too but heroin you did not take me and never will because I live for every person that could not escape you. I am a heroin survivor. You have not beat me yet
