Here Within Red

Here I stroll, right beside you Along the trodden trail, amongst the arborous view While the sun shines upon an ever colder day, The autumn wind carries the fallen leaves of red Here I sit, right beside you Atop the roots, sprawled along the forest floor While the small sparrows sing their spirited songs, The tall trees canopied all under shade of red Here my heart beats, right beside you The warmth inside colors my face, As if to challenge the crimson day Here my head turns, face towards yours Beautiful red colors it too, As if to match your fiery hair— and your inviting lips Here we lean, closer together Here within red, a vibrant love blooms
