Here I Am.
You. You have many names. But to me, you were once Dad. Father. Or so i wanted. You started waves in a pond. An unnecessary pond. But to me, it was an ocean. You tried to drown me, but i am a mermaid. A mermaid whose tail gleams a bright yellow. Yellow is the color for optimism. A feeling i didn't think I could have. But my tail is yellow. Remember that yellow when you sink yourself in the black of the oceans you so desperately made for me. Yellow. The color of the sun, honey, and a new day. You made my body and soul black blue and red , but you can never take away the sun from my honeyed soul because i have new days without you. As it always should have been. I am a mermaid. Now watch me swim and thrive and leave you with no name at all.
