Here Again
Here again, you wretched thing, You bother, you take space, you cling. I want you gone, I scream, I shout, I don’t need you, I can do without. With my own two feet, I’ll stand tall, Can’t say I’ll have no one at all. I keep these birds close, my friends so dear, Don’t think I’ll be alone, don’t come near. My birds come, and I tell you go, I don’t need you, just so you know. Regardless of how I offended them, They follow me, my loyal gem. For I sweet talk their ear, you see, They’ll always be there, close to me. So you see, as long as I keep my pride, These birds will see I’m the man, no need to hide. They want me, they need me, they follow my lead, You are nothing to me, just a disease, indeed. You linger around, causing sickness and pain, But I’ll rise above, again and again. Your presence is vile, a curse in my life, A shadow that brings nothing but strife. I’ll crush you, erase you, leave you behind, In my world, there’s no place for your kind. So crawl back to the darkness, where you belong, In my realm of strength, you won’t last long. I’ll thrive, I’ll conquer, with my birds by my side, While you fade away, with nowhere to hide.
